I started taking photos in High School for the school newspaper. I was assigned to do sports photography, and had borrowed my father's Canon A1, which is the camera I still use today. Since then my interest and love for photography has grown. In college I put down my SLR and started using a small kodak digital camera. Which I eventually wore down to the point I couldn't really use it. I picked up my SLR again and have been taking photographs mainly as a hobby now. I admit that I do still preffer using film versus digital. There is something about the wait and surprise behind having to develop them that I love.

A short Note: I really don't like using photoshop to make any major changes to my photographs. This usually includes croping or any desaturation of any kind. I like the idea of having to make decisions about what type of film I use, and having to stick by those decisions. If too much of a change is required, I rather not post the picture at all. I do of course make exceptions; rules are always meant to be broken. The few changes I do allow myself to make are level changes and some dodging and burning every now andd then. As for the b&w shots, I'm still not sure how I feel about pushing them towards a certain colour, but until I feel absolutely horrible about it, I'll continue to add the colour in when I feel it helps the tones.
